Lululemon Store Murals
Mapleview Mall, Burlington, Ontario, Canada
The Brief
On the heels of the success of the Limeridge Mall mural project for Lululemon, I was approached by them yet again with a second project for the Mapleview Mall store that was in the process of being renovated. Burlington, Ontario, Canada is know for its beautiful waterfronts, extensive bike paths and parks, and music festivals, so working in some of those themes were what they were looking for.
As a resident of Burlington, it's an impossibility to go outside without seeing someone with their dog(s). Whether it's seeing someone walking their dog or playing with them at the park, to seeing a dog owner at the mall shopping with their dog. So this was an element that I had a feeling I would need to add to the design in some form.
Development Process
By this time, I'd been using the iPad Pro as my main creative tool, so the sketching process was done using and app called Autodesk Sketchbook. One of the reason's I loved to sketch using this was because of the pencil tool, which had the most natural-looking pencil strokes, even better that the pencil tool in ProCreate app in my opinion.
